can anyone tell me what the Latin motto below the crest on Jared's shirt is? it looks like the last word is Mori.

if you dig this sort of thing, check out RAVEFORMER, a Transformers music video by Jay Spence set to "Satisfaction" by Benny Benassi, i believe. link from [info]greenangel. :)

for my delusions of grandeur. apparently,
my family name has a historic Coat of Arms associated with it.

According to research, the origin of the name is Spanish and the Coat of Arms contains a gold shield with a red cross and a snake's head, with a red border on which there are gold mullets.

...the origin of my mother's maiden name is also Spanish and the Coat of Arms contains a red shield with a gold castle.

...both surnames first found in Castile (in north central Spain), one of the Christian kingdoms of medieval Spain.

if this kinda thing interests you, here is
* the URL *

i love heraldry.

tried it again:

The name Biggerstaff has a historic Coat of Arms associated with it.

According to research, the origin of the name Biggerstaff is English and the Coat of Arms contains Black with a silver cross. The Crest is a unicorn with the sun in background. The family motto is Suum cuique

Spelling variations include: Bickerstaffe, Bickerstaff, Bickerstath, Bickerstathe and many more.

First found in in Lancashire, where they had been seated from ancient times, long before the Norman Conquest in 1066.

hn. i'd thought it'd be Scottish. but maybe his Scottishness comes from his mum's side of the fam.

also tried it with Rupert's last name. got rather dodgy results (spelling variations include MacCraney, Craney, Crainey, MacCrain, MacCranny, MacCranne and many more — huh?!) but i *love* his alleged family motto. it's Amor proximi :)

one last thing. most of the time the things Ted Casablanca says just make me cringe, but i wish i had his job bcause...
he spotted Rupert checking out the tourist traps along Hollywood Boulevard. Just a skip across the street from the bustling Hollywood & Highland complex. Accompanied by two studio-chaperone types, the kid who plays Ron was looking very day-off-from-Hogwarts in jeans and a blue tee over a long-sleeve white shirt. No magical mischief occurred, at least not on this outing.

heee. ^.^
